The Jharkhand government has increased the dearness allowance (DA increase) on Tuesday. 7% increase in the Dearness Allowances (DA Hike) of employees is approved by the cabinet. DA increase for employees will be effective from July 2024, and they are also entitled to DA Arrears in the salary.

In Jharkhand, employees are provided with the basic salary under the Sixth Central Pay Commission. Earlier DA was 239, but now it has increased to 246 percent. This proposal was approved by the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Pension Will Also Rise
The Dearness Relief (DR) from 7 percent for the pensioners and ex-employee pensioners has also been increased. It has also increased from 239 to 246 percent. From 443 percent, it also has been raised to 455 percent for the government employees receiving salary under the Fifth Pay Commission in the state. It means that there is an increase of 12 percent. This will also be effective from July 1, 2024. The money will get into accounts along with the differences.
