The truth is that the final call regarding the DA increase for state employees will only be announced after approval from MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Now let us tell you that the DA of 50 percent due for the Madhya Pradesh employees and pensioners was revised from January 1, 2024.

To inform you further, as of July 1, 2024, the central employees are receiving dearness allowances at discount rates of 53%. Whereas the Madhya Pradesh government employees are trailing behind their central counterparts in receiving DA.

Let us tell you that the last time new dearness allowances were declared by the government from January 1 and July 1. So now in such a scenario, it may be said, that the government may declare on January 1 about the increase in the DA. But whatever be the case, there may be delays in announcements once again concerning the increase in DA. Besides, we should also tell you that there are chances of announcing the increase in DA for central government employees as well. In fact, it is speculated that the DA may be raised by 3 percent. If that happens, the DA for MPs will then also become 53 percent. For the central employees, this will increase their allowances up to 56 percent. Hence, whatever decision is made by the government regarding dearness allowance will be binding on all employees.

Instalment Of Arrears Will Also Be Paid 

All the preparations by the state government of MP are towards paying DA dues, and all the state employees will also receive their remaining dues. It is important to note that this amount of arrears would not be disbursed in one transaction, but rather in four possible installments. 

In such scenarios, the first installment of this part of the dues will probably be put on the list for a release in December; thereafter, the second installment will follow in January, the third in February, and the fourth installment could find its way to the employees in March 2025.
