DA Hike 2025: Big Gift To Central Employees Before Holi, DA Will Be Increased

DA Hike 2025: The central employees are receiving repeated gifts from the government prior to Holi. A new one will be added in the form of an increase in DA, which will bring people loads and loads of wealth in their salary. Revised DAs will be done every 6 months for the central employees.

Updated Dearness Allowance: From January 1

Central employees and pensioners are currently getting a dearness allowance and dearness relief (DA & DR) of 53%. It has become effective from July 2024 as announced in the month of October. Same now, the next hike will be effective from January 2025 based on AICPI index data from July to December 2024 by Ministry of Labor.

AICPI :

Data of All India Consumer Price Index AICPI that decides the dearness allowance has come up to December. It is based on data for every six months to decide the dearness allowance. Further, the figures for review effective from January 1, 2025, will be from July 2024 to December. As December figures were recorded less than October and November, it shows that inflation has reduced.

Possibility Of An Increase Of 3% DA

With the data of the AICPI till December, an increase of 3 percent dearness allowance has almost been confirmed. Inflation rate has increased by .49 in November. At the same time, in December, the inflation rate (DA Hike) increased by 0.44 percent. This brought the inflation rate to 55.99 percent. It will be considered only at 56 percent since the figure goes above only when it is above 0.50.

DA Will Increase In March

Announce the DA hike before Holi because the cabinet meeting on Feb 26 will be held before Holi. According to this, it will be effective from January (DA Hike 2025) and provided with two months’ salary as arrears in March. Thus, the new rates will be applicable from January 2025. Therefore, the arrears of January February will also be available. The increase will be given under the 7th Pay Commission. Beneficiaries will be 50 lakh central employees and 65 lakh pensioners.

Bumper Increase In pay For employees

Minimum pay to employees of 7th Pay Commission is Rs 18,000. A 3% DA increase in 18000 (DA Hike) would benefit an increase of Rs 540 in salary. Maximum pay is Rs 250000, hence a benefit of Rs 7500 due to an increase of 3% on this amount. For example, an employee availing of Rs 15000 as DA will now get Rs 15,450. He will benefit by Rs 450 every month and Rs 5400 annually. There will also be an increase in pension.
