Listening to the beneficiaries of the Older Person Grant and SASSA, who pay aged people on every first working day of the month, meant that this payment was one of the few available means for monetary support for the elderly people in South Africa. The grant offered cash for these needy but expensive old men and women for a little bit of service. Also, these are the few that seem to qualify for incapacitated persons under a fair scheme with 100% assured payments, truly processed without hiccups by 2025.
The Month When SASSA Older Persons’ Grant Beneficiaries Will Be Paid In 2025
SASSA guarantees that funds are transferred timely to the beneficiaries; accordingly, the Older Person’s Grant will be rolled out monthly on the first working day of every month. January 2025, therefore, is set to be:
- January 2025: 3rd January
- February 2025: 2nd February
- March 2025: 5th March
Beneficiaries can withdraw cash from any outlet using ATMs, Post Offices, and selected retail partners that include Pick n Pay, Shoprite, Boxer, and Checkers.

- May not be receiving any other social grant on his or her behalf;
