March 2025 Payment Schedule

Every month, the SRD R370 grant payment is done by SASSA around the 25th and 31st day. March 2025 will not differ from this schedule. Dates may change, thus beneficiaries need to check around the actual date of payment.

1. Check Status Online

  • Go to official SASSA SRD website.
  • Then, put in your South African ID number and the cell phone number you applied with.
  • Press on the “Check Status” button; it will display your application status with your payment detail.

2. WhatsApp

  • Save the number 082 046 8553 in your cellphone.
  • Text “SASSA” written on the message.
  • Follow the options on the app given to receive updates regarding your grant status.

3. USSD Code

  • Dial 1347737 on your phone.
  • Enter your ID number and the number used to make the application when prompted.
  • Your application status will be displayed on the screen.

4. SASSA Call Centre

  • You can speak directly to an agent on the number 0800 60 10 11 regarding your application status or payment date.

  • Bank Payments: Most people who gave valid bank accounts will be paid via these banks, so the process can be quick and smooth for them. 
  • Post Office Payment: Payments can be collected by people who don’t have bank accounts from Selected Post Offices. It is recommended that you first check payment dates before making such a visit so as to avoid activities at the Post Office. 
  • Avoiding Scams: Always check grant status through official SASSA channels. Be wary of unsolicited messages or calls requesting your personal information or payment to process your grant. SASSA services are free and would never ask you to pay to access your grant.
